Contractors are facing difficulty in keeping up with the diverse requirements of various government agencies. We want to invited your company’s “payroll expert(s)/(HR representatives)” to participate in a roundtable conversation to explore ways to simplify and streamline the process.
The discussion will focus on the following topics:
- Standardization of an electronic method for information collection. Currently, there are multiple portals with different information submission processes for the same project. For instance, the City of Peoria requires IDOL and EPrism.
- We are providing multiple forms that contain the same data points but in different formats. This issue needs to be addressed.
- Subcontractors are not always informed of the requirements as the GCs are not explicitly stating them in their contracts. Thus, GCs must be educated on how to communicate requirements to subs.
- We require a collective voice to lobby lawmakers to make the process less burdensome. We want to take the group’s temperature to determine who is willing to assist with lobbying for changes to this process.
