Potent Gratitude

Early the morning of May 17, 2022, members of the Peoria community came together to witness the beginning of a new community gathering place on Peoria’s Southside.  Three abandoned, run-down homes next to Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church on Peoria’s southside were removed.  This vacant land is in the process of being replaced with a beautiful greenspace, and a pavilion, that will serve the Peoria community. POTENT Gratitude Park is BUILD Peoria’s 2021-22 project and is expected to be completed in 2023. The project is located just north of Peoria Park District’s Proctor RecreationCenter which serves as a community anchor for the Southside.

Greater Peoria Contractors & Suppliers Association has partnered with POTENT Gratitude and BUILD Peoria to help bring this vision to reality and to help make this park an amazing place for all to enjoy.  We’d like to recognize and thank those individuals and companies that are partnering on this project.  They include:
